Yeah. I guess I look at binos as 2 refractors strapped together. With a prism in the train though.

That shot actually shows the benefits of a smaller aperture on a bright object. My afocal shots through the dob are often burnt out.

Hi Rob. I have some pretty good shots taken through a 60mm terrestrial refractor. They came out a lot better than using the big reflector.

I have been thingking of geting one of these Universal Adapters.. Maybe my 10x50's could be dusted off for some afocal imaging of the moon.

I've tried afocal shots through my binoculars but they sucked so bad.

actually i have done afocal bino shots out of fustration...

I was at oran park watching some races and mt camera doesnt have any optical zoom...
