Venus from last night

Hi guys.

Took this shot of Venus last night, it was on its way down and the atmospheric dispertion was pretty bad - it required a shift of -6 in registax to align the red and blue channels!

Seeing was back to average again with the jetstream coming back.

Staked 50 frames out of about 1000. No surface detail of course, and perhaps a little overexposed but the bad conditions made it hard to judge the right settings, and it's only the 2nd time I've captured Venus and the first with the platform.

Anyway enough blah, here it is.

Not too bad Mike. I've been wanting to capture it too the last few days..Maybe this evening. Pretty rare to get good conditions for this, for me at least..

Very nice Mike, I've never had much time for imaging Venus but after your effort I will make the time and have a go.
