Lovely shots Liz !
It was a wonderful sight wasn't it?

You've captured some really nice detail/earthshine.

Very nice, Liz.

All Four Rocks

Liz just beat me to it, but here is my take on all the Rocks between us and the Sun, with Mars included for good measure.

Taken on the 40D with 17-85mm lens. approx 1 sec at f5.6 400ISO taken at 6.09pm. Minor PP

Thankyou Andrew and Matt, and great shot Mike. Was a beautiful sight, and tomorrow night the Moon will be a bit brighter, so perhaps not as good. Am sure there will be some more pics

Lovely sight

Loved the pictures.

Stood outside for 5 minutes looking at the conjunction earlier this evening - really lovely sight which you could appreciate without any gear.

Starry Night Pro 5 Plus says that at 18:30 tonight it was 1.55 days old... if it is over half you round it up don't you

That makes it 2 days, but I think that 1 1/2 days is cool enough. Great capture Liz and Mike. Still recovering from the Dreaded Lerghy and didn't even look at the sky after I got home .
