For sale is a slightly modified Long Perng 80mm refractor.
Blurb from the Andrews page:
Achromatic 80mm f/6 OTA refractor, ruby red tube colour, with smooth 11:1 dual speed Crayford style focuser. Superb overall mechanical quality, inc. aluminium carry case (custom-cut foam liner) and a diagonal
I paid $399 for this + $49 2" diagonal.
I am looking for
$300 for both pick up in Melbourne (eastern subs A/H or CBD during B/H)
The mods I have done to this is to put a metal hoseclamp around the tube with a finder type mount on it so that a finderscope can be mounted to the tube. Apart from some scratches on the tube where the finder bracket is mounted this scope is in pristine condition. This is a good scope, nice contrast and the biggest downside (IMHO) was the lack of finder mount. The mod that I did is completely reversible, and no holes were drilled to facilitate this. I will also include the dovetail plate shown in the pics.
This scope was purchased from Andrews last year and has performed really well.
Here are some photos take of the eclipse with this scope:

This was my 1st attempt at imaging.

Reason for selling - opportunity for bigger better, and hopefully something to overcome the aperture fever.
* Scope is shown on the Stellar Vue M1 Mount with I have withdrawn from sale, and the 16mm Nagler is not included.
