Just bought a new DVD boxed set

Been meaning to buy this for a while but just got around to it this arvo.

The DVD boxed set of 'Planet Earth', narrated by David Attenborough.

It's a five disc set and includes the bonus disc 'The Future'.

It cost $75, which I think is a bargain for the quality of this BBC series.

Four years in the making. And you can't go wrong with anything Mr Attenborough's put his name and talents to.

I'm not really big on these types of 'Earth' series, but I just couldn't resist buying this one. I figured it was time I added something like this to my collection of other astro DVDs and videos. It didn't seem right not to have the Earth represented in the home library

Now to go get a few coldies and enjoy some superb documentary work.

I watched some of this series on ABC a year or two ago, incredible footage.

Well worth a buy I reckon.

Have to put that on my wish list. I got the Carl Sagan Cosmos set a while back, and really enjoyed it. I don't watch TV so its the only way I get to see these docs.

Hi Bill.

Yes, the Cosmos series is a pearler. I was lucky enough to get that as a birthday present last year. Have been back to watch it many times

What a great man Carl Sagan was.

Definitely a good score on your part Matt, and the price sounds great too. Something enjoyable and worthwhile to help fill in those cloudy moments - maybe I best buy a set too come to think of it.

Cheers mate!

I enjoyed watching this one a while back, you've got a great buy in that one Matt.

Come to think of it I don't think the BBC has ever done a dud series, Mr Attenborough just has to much pride and passion in his work.

Cheers
