Upgrade your Meade LXD55 scopes

whilest i was researching what I was going to do in obtaining a GEM, I thought of this little plan for those of you that have LXD55's.

to upgrade the mount you can purchase a brand spanking new Meade LXD75 6" Newtonian w/EC controller for $1,195.00. now transfer your autostar and weights and put your scope on the LXD75 mount and sell the old LXD55 mount with the 6" Newtonian w/EC controller for a modest sum, new scope used mount for a fair price to someone who would appreciate a cheap reasonable scope!

What do you think fellas?????

True but the sounds of ripping off someone eager to get into this hobby doesn't appeal to me hehehe. On a little more serious note, there would be some benifit to doing this and the 6" is perfect for the LXD55. Maybe a little TLC with the 55 before it being sold would make it a more worthy mount. ie. Check and straighten encoder wheels, regrease, general cleanup of guts.

Or you could sell them the LXD75 mount when they realize what they've bought.

Youre a schemer houghy.
