Don't worry Geoff, I asked about getting it all burnt off, but we aren't allowed! We are in a 'Fire Restriction' period. No permits issued, even for the CFA!!!!

Quicker than mowing though

Get him some Friends! Gasp! I don't want the one we have now (but my kids do )

I'd rather have sheep back in there eating it all. Sheep used to keep it like a bowling green, but with the drought they couldn't stay.

Did they taste good?

I am knackered from getting this happening. Lots of shovelling, levelling etc, (machinery did 99%, I did the rest) but here is the updates to the pics in the 1st post of this thread (see above).

The Snake Valley Observatory and SVAA clubrooms are under way

The first 1 1/2 weeks of developement:

1. Excavation of the entry road commences
2. The top of the hill starts getting ripped off
3. The rough start of the road to the hill
4. 3 seperate flat tiers for observing are cut into the hill and drain pipes ready
5. Top of hill is made dead flat for the building
6. Drainage dug and pipes laid
7. All excavation works finally finished (today) and road sealed with Kaolin course sand
8. Young Harry mowing the paddocks

Sounds like it will be great Ken.

Can you send that grader around to houghy's place when you have finished with it. I believe he will be starting some groundwork in the back garden himself soon for the Doghouse observatory.
