How fast would you go?

Check this mirror out.

Might make for a nice short tube table top reflector.

he he! I knew which mirror you were referring to before I even clicked on the link..That things been for-sale for like 3 or 4 months (could even be longer than that)on gecko, It's got me beat what the 3 'mounting' holes are for though. Crazy place to put mounting bolt's, dont you reckon!? I think it's not a telescope mirror at all to be honest!

It appears to be 2 extremely heavy duty light lenses joined together! The holes don't make sense though, and who would want an f/0.5.

I'd say that was the curve of the lenses and it has been aluminised by someone trying to see if it will work (and found out it doesn't).

I suppose it's getting sold because they don't know what to do with it. I doubt that it will be used for a telescope anyway.

On closer examination it looks like the mirror out of a giant spot/searchlight!

or even a parking mirror for a dangerous corner. Remember objects may be closer than they appear

Those Parabolic street mirrors are usually made of mirrored perspex/Plexiglass and a very few from 5mm glass.
