M46 Cluster & NGC2438 Planetary Nebula

Hi Guys,

Here's M46 the beautiful star cluster and NGC2438 Planetary Nebula. I was more going for the PN

Also, there is a small planetary nebula on the bottom left hand side as you can see in the second image which is PNG231.8+04.1 total exposure was 12 x 3 minutes at ISO 400.

thanks jase. this cluster is quite scattered. maybe your fs102 will give it a bigger fov and it wouldn't look that scattered

Very nice Eric, the colours are very nice as is the detail.

The PN looks fantastic set against the cluster.

thanks doug and ric. yes, i guess not many of us image PN's only a few . Trying to encourage others to give it a go thats DSI II Pro is a fine ccd camera for it
