Thanks for showing those images of Jupiter. It allows me to make sense of the images I'm producing at present. I usually end up with an image similar to the first one you show when I take the shutter speed higher than about 1/250. When I take an image at 1/125 I usually get one of the bars running across the planet. When I lower the shutter speed below 1/125th I start to get evidence of a second bar and a slightly pinkish hue can be seen. If I try to lower it much below 1/100th in shutter speed I start get a fuzzy ball that reminds me of Groucho on Sesame Street. It goes fuzzy because I don't have a clock drive to compensate for the Earths rotation.
