Damn Moon! Big Frost!

Have a look!

http://www.bom.gov.au/gms/IDE00035.latest.shtml

All that clear sky and the moon wants to hang around.......
Bugger Bugger Bugger!

It was -8 degrees C in Walcha this morning!
Watch the news for Woolbrook's temperature as it's only 20kms from Walcha...
I might be out later tonight taking pics when the moon goes down.....

Anyone from Guyra or Glen Innes area experience a big frost??

Cheers!

It's looking good but there's no Moonset tonight.
Bums another example of Murphys Law in action.

Cheers

It's being well inland from the coast that makes the difference, I expect.

And altitude. We had a good frost this am but at 1100m altitude it is pretty normal.

Chris, Good luck in the cold imaging.

Yeah thanks Terry!

By the way....i believe you told us at the last astro meeting,Terry, that for all those of you living near sea level we have 8% less atmosphere to look through! I guess i have to take the good with the bad if im ugly enough!

The imaging has been great and the stars were hardly twitching at all the last few nights, but on Monday night there was a slight breeze around and it blew high level crappy foggy stuff in patches....i got through 1 60 min exp. and got to 45 mins of another 60 min exposure when i got totally fogged out!

Mind you last year i was out in -6 degrees photographing....then i got a cold
