Using sand to store green energy for peak demand

This is a really cheap way for both the building and storage of renewable energies for peak loading times.

Sandy Mountain 3.0...

Gee, that's interesting and quite unexpected. 8MWh is impressive for the cost.

Wouldn't it be great to live in a country with lots of renewable energy resources and lots of sand.

Unlimited Fossil Fuel Wealth

The Fins can throw together any project with their colossal fossil fuel wealth. Addressing the subject, though noteven a humble citizen scientist, it makes so much sense to use sand verse say liquid salt.
I’ve never understood the fascination with molten salt, a more corrosive media is difficult to imagine.
Having walked from the car to the beach, I can personally attest to sands capacity to hold heat.
A note to the wise…. The Fins are awash with petro dollars and they’re trying very hard to appear as green saviours. If the Fins were serious they’d stop pulling out the vast quantities of oil and gas that they currently extract reduced their horrendous carbon footprint, which is on par with Saudi Arabia
