Astro observing chair

Hi all,

Looking for a portable, height adjustable viewing chair for astronomy. Can’t seem to find any in Australia (unless I am not googling the right terms).

If you have one, or can point me in the right direction, much appreciated!

Thanks and clear skies (we are having a cracker here in Syd the past week or so, may it continue!)

I've got one. Only issue is that I'm in Melbourne! And it's heavy!

Send a pm to mental4astro, he makes a beautiful timber adjustable observing chair that packs flat. They're not cheap however, made from Australian hardwood & handmade, high quality.

Cheers

alternatives

Hello,

Try the web, plenty of simple designs if your able to do a little wood work yourself.

Also look for "Performance Guitar Stools" "Musician Chair with back rest", they can offer some good value for money.

I got a 2nd hand barstool with gas lift for $20, best bit of accessories kit I own*. If you are somewhere where you need to wrap up warm at night, I strongly suggest a low slung back rest, nice to keep the kidneys warm if nothing else.

Steve
*unless its winter, then its the freezer gear.

Ps. is attached a similar chair to mine, the back rest keeps my lower back warm when I'm all padded up. Its all I need as I tend to lean forward a little when viewing.
