11 april moonage from the doghouse

well it was a lot safer in the dome than out of it. howling gale force winds and the occasional cloud group dodging. seeing Marc try to guide in this weather was my inspiration

so captured 1000 full frames in ASICAP and processed in autostakkert3, registaxed that then tweaked in photoshop. seasoning and herbs and spices with a glass or two

Nice work Dave, #1 is pretty much as I saw it in the wee hours of this morning whilst tracking down the Apollo 11, Surveyor 5 and Ranger 8 Missions.

Cheers

Hi Dave

Don't know about you, but up here in SE Qld the seeing has been pretty ordinary and no friend of long focal length imaging of our Moon.

I was trying for the Apollo 11 landing site again lat night but gave up when I noticed that even the nearby largish crater Moltke (7 kms. dia.) was being obliterated and smeared by the effects of the jet stream.

Cheers

Dennis
