Manual setting circles

I'm wanting to set up an azimuth scale for a Dob, but would like to go with something a little more "pro" looking if you like, and a little more permanent and durable than a laminated paper degree circle.
Has anyone ever made or found a plastic or metal option for this use, maybe a large 360 degree protractor? Is such a thing available? If so where?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I have 2 round scales, just over 12" in diameter, had them for years, 1 came from a deisel spillover calibration tester and the other was the moving scale off a RADAR set, neither has a brand name unfortunately, so I can't help you in that regard, sorry. Both are made of heavy perspex.

Cheers

G'day mate,

The best one's i have come across are form motor workshops, they have ones they use for 'degreeing in' camshafts, they are big, and they are metal. my is from 'crow cams' and cost less than $20.

Hope this helps

George.

I just asked them and the 7" version is $29, 11" version is $39.
Graduation is in degrees, from 0 to +-90 and back.
Markings are on the outside edge.

Thanks for the replys, guys
Despite my background I never thought of camshaft degree wheels, although even an 11" one is still much smaller than the 25" base plate I have, so I'm not sure how I'd get it to work.
A quick google found a US site that lists perspex protractors up to 30", I wonder where in Australia you may find one of these?
