Exclamation Interview with Rob McNaught!

Hi all

With Comet McNaught still blazing away in the South-West sky, it's timely and exciting that we speak to the man himself!

Matt Watson (matt) has interviewed Rob McNaught for IceInSpace! Read about that night when Comet McNaught was discovered, and find out more about the man who has over 30 comet discoveries to his name!

Find it on the Interviews feature on IceInSpace, or directly by clicking on the link below:

Interview with Rob McNaught

Many thanks to Matt for arranging and conducting the interview!

Thanks John.

Although the article layout seems to have changed since it was uploaded this afternoon.

Pics look to have suddenly become smaller and text runs wider across the page. There's a bit too much white space around the pics as a result, and the quotation boxes look peculiar.

Not to worry. Mike will fix it, I'm sure

The layout hasn't changed, Matt.. I suspect you're viewing at a different resolution to before?

Suspect you're right Mike, although that's weird.

I didn't change any settings

Anyhoo... all is well.

Thank you Rob and Matt for a very interesting, readable and insightful interview exploring the research, the process, the politics and the man that led to the discovery of this amazing comet.

Rob was the keynote speaker at the Qld Astrofest in 1999 where also he cut a dashing figure with an excellent performance in tossing the counterweight.

Cheers

Dennis

A most interesting article. Thanks to Matt and to Mr McNaught for taking the time to pose and answer the questions.

There are times when one wonders whether researchers live in some form of ivory tower enclave and never connect to the Common Man. Obviously Mr McNaught is not of that ilk.

Thanks guys.

It's gratifying to know you are reading it.

Rob was very generous with his time (and pics) and was an enjoyable interview subject.

I'll also repeat my thanks to Mike. If you like the overall "look" of the piece, that's his handywork.
