Platypus

We recently returned from South Australia where we spent several days on Kangaroo Island. While there we were lucky enough to see a Platypus in the wild (ok, lucky and a touch of good planning).

I have a whole list of good shots but I've one done one for the web. He was kind enough to not just appear on the other side of the pool but come right up to us (about 2m distance) on several occasions, pause for a photo, then keep rumaging for food. Amazing experience. Some of the shots he is bigger than full frame and perfectly sharp. Very happy.

Roger.

I'm ever so jealous, Roger. What a wonderful experience that must have been. Like others, I have not had that privilege. Thanks for posting the image.
