Nice picture, it should be taken a few months ago. Crux left of the SCP occurs at daylight in this time of the year.

Hi Carlos, it was a bit of fun and I wasn't sure how it would go down.
I'm happy that you like it.

Thank you.

Thank you Colin. You liking it means a lot.

It was an experiment and I'm trying a few more.

Thank you.

Yes, the sky layer was photographed in February this year when I was chasing Comet Lemmon. If it wasn't for the tree in the right hand corner, you could probably see the comet.

I have been planning to do one like this for a while - Just need to get the nerve up to get into a cemetery late at night, somewhere out of the way, in the dark, all alone ......
You have encouraged / motivated me!!

Oh this is so, so very good Ross. Everytime I look at this image I see so much more in it. FANTASTIC! one of the best ever presented on IIS.
I just love this section of Ice In Space.

Very kind and generous comments Peter.

This photo was an experiment and I wasn't sure how people would take it.

Thank you very much.

Thought i'd just comment (again) on this my favourite all time image here on IIS. Probably significant for me recently because of the loss of my mum. Also appeals to me in the light of our recent SN discovery in NGC5128.
Hope you don't mind me "resurrecting" the image for those who never saw it to enjoy. This image has a lot to say, I consider it an artwork.
