Finderscope positioning

Hi All,
Was wondering what the pro's & cons are of where you position your finderscope. Either on tube rings or focuser....?

Tube rings. Finder is best fitted here and used in conjunction with a 45 degree diagonal. Have found this combination perfect.

I like the idea, but how do you place a finder on tube rings?

It really depend on the kind of scope, kind of finderscope, existing mount points if any, etc. Since you mention tube rings I will assume you have those. You can add a top dovetail bar to many tube rings and that can hold the finder mount. Suggest you provide more detail on your scope and how your using it, as many imagers mount guidescopes on top mounted dovetail bars.

Glen, I have had a look at some of my dovetails bars and now see how this could work. I need some longer M6 screws to make it operational(easy enough to get). This actually could be a big help to me, so many thanks Glen.
