warm qhy10?

still testing my qhy10 but tonight i tried to set the temperature to -15 below ambient but on the bottom left it was saying that it was not going below 24.8!
am i missing something? also i know it was not cooling because the blue temp line was going along the top of the graph, i have seen it travelling along the the -15 line the last time out
any ideas?

What software are you using to set the temperature?

Qhy10

HI Pat could you here the cooler actually running?
Sometimes it would come loose and the temp wouldn't shift.
Also I had better response setting the temps in MAxim than in Nebulosity to be honest.
Sometimes I had to unplug everything then replug it all in in sequence to get the cooler going again if it came loose

MaxIM controls cooling VERY well for all cameras I have used. It managed the recalcitrant ATIKs I had much better than ATIKs own software. Same for Starlight Xpress (I sometimes wonder if the same person who wrote ATIK's stuff wrote SX's too)

Qhy

HI Pat, sometimes the settings on the DC box need a look see. There is a blog on the QHY website about setting the numbers for max cooling -I just left it alone but it is possible to press on them accidentally and change the cooling settings manually.
I will try and find it for you. All three numbers I think should be on with connection plus the fan on,

Its a shame you don't get an error of some sort if the cooling circuit isn't active. Can't count the number of times I've started imaging to realise I hadn't powered the DC-201 for my QHY9. Software sending cooling messages, but they don't do much good
