Looking South

Hi All,

Tried my hand at Star Trailing, I have always wanted to do the southern region, anyway here is my effort.

Started off as a time lapse but then I found a program called StarTrails... the rest is history.

It’s a total of 283 images at 3200iso 15 second exposures with a 5 second gap in between at f/3.5 using a Canon 500D on a tripod.

This set of images was taken Friday 20 March 2015.

The resulting time lapse video and has been uploaded to my channel on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9GOlOwiITw

Many thanks for looking.

Paul

Nice photo Paul.

Brings back memories of star trails on film in my younger days.

Ross.

Thanks Ross,

The good old film! Done many widefield shots as well with film, out of 24 or 25 if you were lucky you would end up with 6 if I was lucky.
