Hello everyone,
This is my first post here, although I have been following your site and forum for a few years.
I am a member of Flamsteed Astronomy Society in Greenwich, London in the UK.
I produced this timelapse a few days ago, and it has received quite some attention yesterday and I wanted to share it with you, you can see it
here.
This is a timelapse movie of a part the night of the 13th August when the Perseid meteor shower was peaking. This movie consists of 455 photos, taken between 2am and 4.30am.
The video is repeated a second time with stacked images producing star trails.
The final part of the video, unlike traditional timelapses showing the stars moving, keeps stars aligned with the earth rotating instead.
I hope you enjoy it!
Sumitra
