I haven't got any better at it lol. Seeing was absolutely terrible, the wind was blowing and everything was shaking but it's the first almost cloud free night in ages. And I was busting to try the new Skywatcher ED100 on a planet. One day I will get a better pic with better seeing and newer imaging equipment.
So the details are... The colour pic was 2000 frames of boiling mess with a 20 year old analogue 1/3" CCD Jaycar colour video camera captured with a USB video grabber and Gstar 4 software, stacked in Registax. The B+W pic with moons was about 80 frames with a 14 year old analogue frame integration video camera set to 64X, captured in Gstar 4 software and stacked in registax. I used a GSO ED barlow on the ED100 for a focal ratio of about F27 roughly.
The moon was 9 x 1/125th second frames stacked in DSS, processed in photoshop and taken with a Pentax K-x and Skywatcher ED100 at prime focus F9.
Thanks Ray. Yeah Dave we used to paint them on the cave walls when we got bored hunting dinosaur. Nearly as bad, all my old planet shots are on VHS tape.
