Aurora 20/2 from Ballarat

Hi All

Its been a while since I've posted an update and there are a few shoots I've been out on that I still have to look at and process.

Anyway while sitting on the couch and hearing of potential for aurora activity I thought it wont be that big and after a long day at work and 2+ hrs driving already for the day I thought its not worth the effort making the 4 hr round trip to the coast (like I did 9/1) When I heard of reports of camera visible aurora from NW Vic and higher. I thought it would be criminal not to go out for a look, so I went outside and thought I was getting a bit of colour on the horizon from my front yard between the street lights so I jumped in the car and headed about 20 mins away from the city lights

By the time I got to my destination the moon was just rising and started to wash out the colour but its there faint on the horizon (in the first shot) so it wasn't a waste of a trip, while out I took another couple of shots before being completely unorganised (phone battery died, forgot my headlamp etc) meant I had to call it a night.

Anyway let me know what you think.

Matt

Thanks Derek, a couple of weeks earlier those hay bails in the 4th one were nice and spread out in the field.
