HEQ5 Problems

What is going on with this mount HEQ5 Pro. Firstly the hand contoller wouldn't light up. There is power getting to the mount but none to the hc. The hc seems to be ok when I connect it directly with power so I thought it may be the cable/ connections. Bought another data cable and now a message comes up , No link to MC Stand-alone mode. What does this mean and can I still use it? Can someone help please?
Thanks

No link means the hand controller is not seeing the motor controller board!
Recheck the cable you had (original) and see if the pinouts are the same on both cable ends and see if the colour wires in both plugs on the new cable are in the same location as the old cable.

This problem comes up again and again. Most times it is poor crimping
at the factory. You need to find someone with the appropriate crimper,
firmly crimp both ends of the original cable, and that will probably fix it.
Obviously, you could have a different problem, but that is a good place to start. Any comp repair shop will do it for you if you don't know anyone with a crimper.
