Backgroung noise reduction methods

Hi Guys I have asked this question some time ago, but cant find the thread, so maybe some one can help.

I need to cancel background noise from a recording so that the actual speaking can be heard more clearly.

Could someone please suggest a method or even some software that could help with this request.

Many Thanks.

Leon

Leon,

I thought Audacity could handle that.

If you Google "how to remove audio noise from a soundtrack using audacity"
you get some tutorials.

Hope that helps
