Lostock Dam Nightscape

A shot from the picnic area at Lostock Dam, with the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds visible, just above the terrestrial clouds that had some amazing shapes and colours lit by light-pollution around Singleton.

30s, ISO6400, Canon 6D and Samyang 14mm f/2.8. It's actually slightly bigger than a normal frame in height - I made a vertical panorama from two images with a lot of overlap.

- Large

Thanks for looking

Thanks guys. Yes Terry, there was green airglow that night. I've got another shot that shows the structure more too. Will post that later.

Great work Mike, the composition is great, the clouds are nice & add some interest and just enough light on the tree.
