Thanks Stephen, it takes a bit of practice but when you pull it off the results are good. Now I can point at the moon and not over-expose it, similar to a photo I took a few weeks ago of a Lunar Corona

Thanks Roger, actually the moon was only a wanning crescent that night, the clouds appear so bright because of the light pollution coming from Sydney.
The foreground is a 155sec exposure with the background capped at 30sec 'Magic Glove method'.
