I have an EQ6 fitted with Astromeccanica motos and the DA-1 hand controller. I can guide via ST4 but would like the option of using ASCOM as it opens up more options, such as GoTo. Unfortunately, there is no current support for the DA-1 and the only ASCOM driver I could find (found
here) was written years ago and hasn't been updated. I contacted the person who wrote this software and there's no plans to update it either given there's no support for the DA-1.
I currently use EQAlign to polar align my scope as it does support the DA-1. This software also can perform GoTo with the DA-1 but it's buggy and the author (
Antonio Fraga) has no plans to update this part of the program. Antonio said he could write an ASCOM driver for me but he wouldn't be able to do it for a while.
So, I guess the question is, would anyone be able to write some software for me? If so, what would you need?
