The total solar eclipse has been such a wonderful Catalyst in focusing interest in Astronomy across FNQ.
To this end & after discussion with several key people in the FNQ Astronomy community I have set up "FNQ Astronomers"
Both as a
facebook page and a page on my Astronomy Site
EverythingAstronomy.
I encourage you to "Like" the facebook page and lets see how much interest we get from the FNQ Community.
I am very keen to make this a regional group and not a Cairns centric club.
I have Ideas for the structure & function of the group, but my first aim is to gauge interest.
I look forward to hearing from as many FNQ Astronomers as possible.
Region is set as Cardwell to Cooktown & "Out West" say Greenvale to Georgetown
