Those times you wish you had your DSLR handy...

I saw this amazing sight last week, and really wish that I'd had my 5DmkII and 70-200 handy at the time. However, my iPhone 4 was all that I was carrying at the time

At sunset, there was a plane flying past the crescent moon. Its contrails were lit up bright pink by the setting sun, and a strong wind was blowing it sideways and scattering its tail - so it looked like a slow-moving shooting star.

The naked eye view was incredible - I pointed it out to the people around me and they gasped in amazement - but alas, these snaps don't do it justice!

Nice, would've been great for a long focal length shot

great view and love the trail colour. The other day it must have been real calm around my way as a high alt plane left its trails across the whole sky. The kids thought it was a rocket blasting off haha
