Great stuff JJJ.
Speaking of clouds, we have some customers who are researchers at a
meteorological research institute at a German university, who use their
Argo Navis/ServoCAT equipped Mesu mount to track the sun in order to measure
microphysical properties of clouds using reflected solar and thermal radiation from
cloud sides. They have developed a scanner with three spectroradiometers
that is driven by the mount. They use these measurements to validate numerical
models they have created. The Argo Navis performs all the real-time tracking
computations.
Serious cloud watching.
