Eta Carinae - first try

Howdy All,
This is my first try at the mighty Eta Carinae. I ended up taking 20, 40, 60, and 120 sec subs but only the 120sec images seemed to contain enough useful data. I think I pushed those to the limit in processing. Noise is starting to creep back in and stars are blowing out.

Anyway happy enough for now mainly because I think the guiding was OK. I should have pushed for longer times but started freaking out!

I will give it another crack with longer and more subs.

Two versions attached. Comments very welcome.

4 x 120sec subs at 800iso
Capture - BackyardEOS
Process - Nebulosity 3 and Photoshop CS3

Cheers
Dave

Thanks for the replies Jon and Dave. Hopefully a fine weekend here in Perth to get out and try again.

Good luck! I had my EQ6 and Skywatcher Black Diamond ED100 delivered last wednesday and it has rained here ever since! So yeah, for those of you in Sydney, it's all my fault...
