Wow - what a fabulous image Dave. Can't wait to see the rest. I did an all nighter in Brisbane where the seeing was not too good, and waves of clouds rolled in for long periods, likes sets of waves on a surf beach.
The wavelength between sets was approx 30 secs, which is not too great for grabbing 90 sec exposures!
Oh well, I'll enjoy looking at your superb images instead.

Not too good. I took one avi of Jupiter at around midnight when it was nice and high and promptly went to bed It was lovely and clear up here til then though.
You did the wise thing! Here is my best Jupiter, from 2:00am, to compare with Dave's. Not worth posting in itself, but useful as a comparison to illustrate Dave's better seeing and larger image scale.
Not to mention his overwhelmingly larger, massive 10” ‘scope.
forget seeing, i do love your finished work. do you process on a lcd laptop screen. I am doing both at the moment and will be producing one for lcd, one for crt.
There is nothing wrong with that shot Dennis. Nice detail.
You couldn't pay me to post the one I took I know it's been a long time between images for me but I couldn't have gotten that bad in that time. It must have been the seeing.
here comes io!!!

I have huge differences for different monitors
Hi DP
I capture on an IBM R40 ThinkPad, with a 1400 x 1050 LCD screen and process on my desktop, which has a 20" 1600x1200 BenQ LCD panel, so no CRT's in our house I'm afraid.
By the way, I just noticed my Baader UV/IR blocking filter in the accessory case, so last night's Jupiter was taken with no filter. Hmm, I'll have to try the ToUcam with filter, then naked, side by side to see the difference.
