Aye lad, very well done.

Like you we've been here since 1982 - almost 30 years, and never regretted a single moment of it. Over here in lil' ol' WA, it seems like paradise compared to many other places in the world - my homeland (pommieland) included. But not Norway it seems - lol

Happy arrival day Ron.

Just think how many extra nights viewing you've been able to have since you left there.

Congratulations Ron!
My 40 years isn't up until October next year.
Just wondering how you got here ... ship or plane? ... and if by ship, which one?
I arrived here from the UK on the Chandris Line "Britanis" in October 1972. I left Southampton in September 1972 ... on my 21st birthday as it happened.

Well done Ron,
I came to Australia on March 4 1986. Landed in Adelaide in a scorcher 35c, nothing special about the temp, except when you consider I left in -10c in the Northern hemisphere.

The weather for observing over the last couple of those forty years has been so bad, I could have been back in the UK,and there wouldn't have been any difference

Andy, I came out on the fifth Jumbo to bring us "Ten Pound Poms" to Australia
I used to see the Chandris Line ships come into Steamer point Harbour in Aden loaded with British people in the 1960's,so am quite familier
with those ships
Cheers

Poor Ron, after 40years you STILL don't know the difference between the Northern and Southern Constellations.

Seriously though, happy anniversary old chum. So glad you made the decision to to move over here.

Bo
Bo, I left England and it was just about freezing C and arrived in Aus with the temp at about 38c in Darwin and 100% humidity
When we got to Brisbane and walked across the white concrete to the Igloose of the old airport, we where soaked with sweat before we had walked 20mts
