Anything on in Canberra/Goulburn this weekend? (8-10th July)

I'm taking the kids down to canberra on Thursday and visiting my folks at Goulburn as well.
Just wondering if there was anything vaguely astronomical that I could take the kids along to whilst I was down there. They love a stargazing meet or anything cosmologically related.

Peter,

CAS is hosting a public night up at Mount Stromlo on Friday night, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The new cafe will be open as well until 10 PM.

Sounds just like what you and the kids need!

What Humayun said .

Should be a great night, we usually get 20+ scopes of all sizes and Vince Ford runs a series of half hour presentations on the universe in the visitors centre. The Scope cafe does a great coffee as well, see link below.
