This would make a good set-up for wide field camera lens shooting of the night sky. I use one similar to this for my 24mm lens on 20Da camera, and it tracks okay for 2 minutes. My RA is only roughly pointing to the south, so more accurate set up with a compass may give longer exposure times without any trailing.
