What a night is all i can say, and what a great spot. At nearly 1000m and perfect viewing conditions the 5 of us that were there enjoyed alot of what the clear sky had to offer.
Starting off the night with Saturn, and on top of that been able to see 4 of Saturns moons along side was an extra bonus.
My next target was the Ghost of Jupiter, a target I have myself not gone for before but after a few minutes of following a star map and star hopping then a little bit of looking around i found the object. It appeared as a aqua/turquoise dot about 3mm in diameter in my field of view. Spectacluar.
After that the next amazing object to see at a dark site was Omega Centauri. What a great globular cluster. Very defined view of this. We also compared it between each others scopes, my 8 inch newt, Kel's 10 inch newt and Rob's 5 inch SC. Each had a different view of the globular cluster that gave it a more unique perspective.
Anyhow, time for some catch up sleep. Im sure the other have something to add...like Piccys
