Exclamation Oklahoma's Tornadoes - Amazing Video!

Absolutely amazing video!

They video it from it's tiny start right through to it destroying a town before they stop video'ing to go search for bodies or to rescue people.

It gets really severe from 2:20 onwards.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avszU...er_profilepage

They just don't seem to be getting a break from disasters in USA!

Amazing footage

It's scary in the way that they just change direction all of a sudden. It's like it's decided to go after the car instead.

Some of the other videos on youtube are quite awesome as well.

I live about 100 miles east of the area that got hit the hardest. We had some weaker tornadoes nearby, but no major damage in this area (Tulsa/Broken Arrow). But, everyone had red dirt all over their cars. The red dirt came from western Oklahoma (100-200 miles away!). That was one of the strongest supercells that I have seen here in Oklahoma in a long time!

Take care Art. It sounds pretty nasty over your part of the world.

They are saying on the news that it is the worst Tornado season in history!

I think for Oklahoma, it is the worst in 50+ years. Maybe the worst in history for all of the US? I don't know. I've lived in this area (tornado alley) my whole life, and I don't feel any more threatened than in the past. I still would rather live here than anywhere else. I don't know about having to deal with hurricanes year after year! I think I'll stick with the tornadoes!

I've got some family in Bixby and grew up on the other end of Tornado Alley in Indiana. I don't recall seeing anything so powerful over the wide area that seem to be catching it this year. Stay Safe!

You would have got remnants of the recent storms Scott?

Been watching the weather up there again, as the wife and I are heading back over Stateside again (NY for 3 weeks)
Have a Sister-In-Law, just north of Wichita, Kansas. It's been all around her this year, but not yet hit her.

Some really crazy high intensity there in those Twisters this year. The mile wide ones are just so crazy.

I pooped my pants watching that When I was about 7 or 8 a 'mini' tornado ripped through the school I was in. I had nightmares for years after that, well until my mid and late teens. They still give me the creeps, but I cant help looking

My hometown has but where I live now in Connecticut has just gotten rain and cloud. It would be really unusual for us to get a twister...

That is just unbelievable! Imagine having to then get out of the car and search for survivors What an horrific event, my thoughts are with them!
