reprocessed Jupiter from Jan 31

Hi All, made an effort at improving my latest Jupiter image toning down the browns a little. Reduced the LR deconvolution iterations to minimum of 2 and used more SoftSHarpen in photopaint, then played round with curves to highlight the banding while - hopefully - not overdoing the brown. Not sure it's an improvment in the end or not in the end

New one at left and old one at right.

cheers,

The new one is now purple Robert! Are you doing this on your lappy or desktop?

If you've got the avi on DVD/CD, i'd love to have a go at processing it for you..

I had a go at correcting the colour balance, but I couldn't get how I wanted.. I think I'd be able to correct it better with the raw data.

Your new one on left, your old one on right.

much better Mike thanks , that's more what I was after... it's also more how it looks on my laptop because it ain't purple there but is here . hmmm my laptops got one of those shiny screens which may have an effect here. Unfortunately, I'm limited to doing processing on the lappy for now - maybe I can play around with screen settings or something so it more closely matches desktop views.

cheers,

I have this trouble too...I process on the laptop. ie: If I don't want green rings on Saturn, I have to deliberately alter the colour to a light purple on the laptop..When I load the image to my desktop there will be no purple to be seen..

Nice images.
