Gotta see that Dark Doodad in Musca again. That fella has eluded me since a SV camp a year or so ago. Just need the 10x50 binos for it!

I should also get organised for what targets to shoot. Every time I get to camp I don't have anything planed till I'm all aligned and ready to hit the shoot button.

NanoSail-D, provided there are passes.
Maybe the jet on Z CMa, per ngcles' thread (in someone else's BIG scope! )

Thanks Eric, you're like a dog with a bone! But it is a great visual target now, so big and you can see a lot as it flits through the FOV.

Even I will take a long exposure photo of that target! It's easy, any fool (ie. eric) can get an image:- DSLR? - Check; wide angle lens? - Check; on tripod? - Check; pointed vaguely in the right direction? - Check; remote shutter release ready? - Check; batteries? - Che... DAMN - flat!!

Don't tell me Anna has retired and you have got the urge John. Good to see you both coming along. Better have a little sip or two.
I have not even thought about a target yet. I suppose as long as the target isn't me. Remember the 50 caliber finger fellas.

Let's just get on with it! Is it March yet.
I was going to have a go at the Gabriel Mistral Neb, and maybe something in Scorpius later in the evening. Other than that, anyone recommend any decent Galaxies. M83 and 5128 spring to mind, also M104 should be well placed.

Hi all,
me I find Astro camps great to meet and greet!
Not to be picky but most take pictures of the same old stuff. How many pics of Orion can you take! seriously its great to see all the images.
Personally I like to see images of things that visually are very hard to see, there millions of them. and working out what is a good target takes time and investigation.
I throw one up which looks very nice in professional images. The Galactic trio/
NGC- 6769/6970 and NGC 6971 in the constellation of Pavo. Great for us and perfect for Snake Valley.

Now some may have captured these before but there hard in a smallish scope to see. So just putting it out there
See you all soon.

Also I really like this one NGC 2442
http://www.astrosurf.com/antilhue/ng..._in_volans.htm
We observed this with Tims scope a year ago and i loved it. It has great structure, so would be a nice target for your cameras.
I could go on and on but I wont love your work people.

I've got a request for imagers - images of DSOs in the LMC other than NGC 2070 eg areas around NGCs 1965, 1763 (the nebula around this area - N11- is the second largest star forming region in the LMC), 1727, 1770, 1968, 2035, 1910 etc.
Pure self interest - I'm after more of your lovely images for my web site
As for visual - I like the idea of gong for Z Canis Major and her jets, Dave's suggestion in another thread of GCs in the LMC. And Arps. So much to see up there...
