collimate the collimator

Forgot how to collimate my GSO laser collimator. Which screws should I turn when the beam draw a circle on a distant wall?

Thanks Geoff
Do you mean I leave the third screw alone and only adjust the other 2?

Hi,

No, use all 3 at first. You first need to determine which one moves the laser dot in the right direction (it may be 2 adjacent screws needed), then tighten one side and loosen the other, just slightly. You should end up with all screws about equally tight, and they don't need much.

For the last little bit you might only use one screw.

You need a system, because doing it at random will drive you crackers. The screws in mine needed an allen key.

Cheers
