New Year Pressies for me

Hi everyone.

Just back from a few weeks hols on the Gold Coast, and more importantly, Sydney - home of Bintel.

How good is it to be able to walk into a shop and browse the shelves for all those goodies previously only glimpsed on a webpage?

Anyway, the point of this thread is that I purchased a 19mm Panoptic for visual obseving of DSOs with my GSO F5 12" Dob. Now that I'm home, I can't wait for first light for this ep. I have only GS Plossl eps for comparison.

On my third (!!!) visit to Bintel's office (thanks Micheal for your patience and understanding), I also bought a JMB Solar filter for my 114mm EQ Newt.

Cheers

Dave

Nice purchase, Dave! The 19mm Pan is a beautiful eyepiece. And those GS Plossls of yours should be shaking in their eyepiece cases, because their days are numbered.
