Lunar terminator mosaic 7-1-06

Hi All,

Here's a mosaic of the lunar terminator region taken on 7th Jan.

It's a mosaic of 9 images, stitched together in Autostitch.

Each individual image is a 50 frame composite taken with an LPI at prime focus of the 8" LX200GPS. A little post processing with photoshop (unsharp masking, crop and image rotation).

Thanks for all the encouragement there guys.

If you haven't used it yet, get a copy of Autostitch (www.autostitch.com), it's free and pretty easy to use. Simply take the shots with some overlap (I usually use a third of the previous frame in the next frame), convert all the shots to jpeg (Autostitch only uses jpeg), put them in a separate folder and point the software at it. You can adjust the setting after you see that it's combining the images correctly.
