Front yard macro

We abandoned the BIMBO meet Sat morning due to very high winds. Around lunch I managed to find a sheltered spot from the wind at home and found a few targets ... no doubt also sheltering from the wind

Wow Andrew, these are some really fantastic shots! Beautiful set, I particularly love the first four and the comical dragonfly, they always appear to be smiling!

Andrew,

Sensational bokeh in the first four images and wonderful detail throughout, too.

Everytime I see a macro image, it reminds me of A Bug's Life.

All these were with f14 Ian, Tv - 1/250th, ISO 400. 580EXII flash on manual set to 1/2 +0.3 (varied a little due to ambient light) with a softbox diffuser.

Cheers Humayun. I have been trying to get a bit of colour in the bokeh too, targeting angles that have a flower or interesting colours in the background.

Super shots Andrew, by the looks of things you're in a top spot for shooting macros
