These little cameras have a superb reputation, for lossless (very) fast frame rate imaging, up to 60 frames/sec with no compression. It will also do long exposures. Ideal for Solar or Planetary use. The sensor is a mono Sony 640x480 CCD. With its lossless capture, the frames are easy to upsize, if you wish, with minimal deterioration, but 640x480 is a perfect size for planetary use anyway. Also makes a great high resolution lunar imager.
Complete with 1-1/4" nosepiece, and DMK capture software and drivers.
If you connect this camera to a regular full size firewire port (eg. back of your PC) with a normal firewire lead, the camera is self-powered.
If using a mini IEE port (common on laptops) you need to inject 12V DC from a power adaptor or battery into the special Volage-tapped firewire lead (which is included).
This camera retails at $499, and with good reason - it's one of the best planetary/solar imaging cameras available
