spacecraft re-entry? -15/05/10 22:35
Hi Out there,
last Saturday, I was waiting for the seeing to improve and occasionally went out to check the star twinkling - there it happened:
looking South from my Backyard in Melbourne at about 22:35 there was an orange-red object with a long tail (ca. 50cm at armlength) traveling from west to east about 30-40 degree above horizon.
the thing with it`s tail was as thick as a pencil hold at armlength, visible for 3seconds or slightly longer and very bright.
Does someone know whether this was a scheduled re-entry/destroying mission or perhpas a near miss of bigger bolder?
Did anyone else see it? Perhaps had a camera pointed in the direction and pulled the trigger in the right moment?
