Exclamation The new "IceInSpace" line

Hi guys.

In the logo above, you see the familiar text under the logo "Australian Amateur Astronomy News and Forums".

Well it's underdoing a process of change.. The new text will be:

"The Australian Amateur Astronomy Community"

because really, that's what we are. We're the biggest and best Amateur Astronomy Community in Australia.

Of course we still (and will always) welcome our good friends from across the Tasman and around the world.

I've updated the logos for the AstroCamp and in the next few days, will update the logo above and it'll be replaced by the new one with the new text.

Thanks to Seeker for the suggestion!

Here's the AstroCamp logo (attached) so you can see what we mean..

Ok I get the message.... Just cause we beat you guys at rugby and have better weather... But there's no need to rub it in.... Why not make the word AUSTRALIAN in super bold and bigger font and when you roll over the logo you get the pop-up banning kiwi's... ....
...
..

.
I'm just winding you up! I guess we have tired getting more Kiiw's here, but technology uptake is not strong amoung the dob brigade of NZ...

I hope I am still welcome to stir you guys up from time to time.
Cheers

Hey Mike, Any ideas why the forum software add spaces to my signature? I guess it's trying to break up what it perceives as one very long word....
Sorry for off-topic post! Should I start a new thread?
Cheers

I kno Rob is not too sore about it, but:

1. I spose legally we can call ourselves anything
2. I would love to include as many as possible??

No not sore about it at all David... Just enjoy a windup from time to time!...
Given that you can count the number of Kiwi members on one hand and the number of active kiwi members on Homer's hand, we really have no legs to stand on at all...
Cheers

But I would count you and gary as major contributors!

I know you guys will be fine with it, but It is always hard to categorize what we are and represent. There are great guys & girls from all over the world on IIS.

You can't call it the "Worlds Best Forum", but I spose if we just say that all our friends overseas (including me in tassie) are "adopted aussies" then we can't go too far wrong!

Settle down Ving, I'm quite happy with the Australia being NZ's West Island.

Gary and Robby are great contributors to the forum, and they've been members for a very long time.. they'll always be very valuable members.

But as Robby says, there's only a couple of active NZ members and a handful from other parts of the world, so that's why it says "Australian" because that's mostly what we are.

Still waiting for Robby and Gary to bring more kiwi pals over here with them

Perhaps "The Mostly Australian Amature Astronomy Community" would be more appropriate then...

Why be so specific? How about:

"Southern Hemisphere Amateur Astronomy Headquarters" where the sky is worth looking at!

or will that upset out Nthn Hemi friends just coz they don't have much to look at.
