smc with ed80

Stack of 75x2min subs from last night taken with ed80 in Melbourne. Moon was up. Cropped as the scale of the full frame is very small .

Didn't notice this at first. Probably the green tint was introduced during processing with DSS. The align rgb option was not enabled. I will run it again with further adjustment. ormI like the colour though, a change from the norm.

This time the ED80 was guided with a 9x50 guidescope SS Autoguider.

Can you post a full frame, I am trying to gauge where in the SMC you have captured. The SMC should fill your whole frame and cant understand why you have so little of it.

Hi Rob,

You are going to have to get a lot more data, with longer subs. Just to put your picture into perspective, I have attached a picture of the "Whole" SMC. I believe yours is one of the bright blobs in the bottom centre of the SMC.

This photo is at 100mm focal length
