Nothing like Andrews amazing pic from earlier in the week
I noticed it had been getting darker all day and on a trip to the shops took my camera up to the local lookout on the off chance I could grab a shot. Not so when I got to the platform the sun was still fully
illuminated so photography wasn't going to happen. Was about to walk back down when I noticed it seems to be getting darker by the second.
Looking back to the west the approching dust is starting to envelope the suns disk .
The widefield shots were a 1/sec exposure from memory perched on any odd post on the viewing platform, the rest just auto on my cannon powershot.All a bit rushed I'm afraid to bright to totality was
4 minutes.
